dc.description.abstract | The article presents a theoretical and practical study focused on the enhancement of the cognitive-constructivist approach to teaching in the context of the initial training of architecture and design students. The paper reveals and analyzes the key concepts and several perspectives of researchers regarding the cognitive-constructivist approach to the educational process in higher education institutions. Additionally, important educational aspects related to the initial training of students are highlighted and described, such as objectives, content, active-participatory teaching-learningevaluation methods and procedures, and research from the perspective of cognitive-constructivist instruction. Scientific arguments are provided regarding the improvement of the initial training of architecture and design students within the cognitive-constructivist approach to the educational process. Examples of best practices are offered to validate the effectiveness of the cognitiveconstructivist approach in the development of curricular disciplines in higher education. Furthermore, some fundamental principles promoted through the cognitive-constructivist approach are reflected, emphasizing the active participation of the learner in the learning process through personal experiences. This study outlines, analyzes, and validates the positive impact of formal and non-formal activities on the creation of new learning spaces. | en_US |
